and we are back…. well just me. It has been two and a half years since I have posted my wonk-ledge. Alot has happend in between.

I wont list them, because don’t have time.

Since I am in a different place since when I started this blog, let me introduce you to Life Wonk the Blog.

By definition a wonk is “a person preoccupied with arcane details or procedures in a specialized field; broadly : nerd .”

I love life and I am preoccupied with its details. I am a student of life, every day I seek to learn something I didn’t know before. I am challenging myself to DO more than just say. Also, to learn more than I did the next day.

I want more than anything that my posts will provide good conversation starters as I do my best to “point out the arcane details” that make often make a difference in life.

Welcome back to Wonk-ality.

Celebrating The Dream

All of my life, the observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday has been a day off of school and work, reflecting on the dream that Dr. King dreamed for our futures.

In 2004, I cast a vote for a man for US Senator with a funny name, I knew little about. In February 2007, I recognized the dream when said senator announced his candidacy for the Presidency. A year later, $200 million and counting in grassroots fundraising, 38 delegates (to her 36 delegates) going into the Democratic National Convention, on this observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday I celebrate the actualization of his dream.

Senator Barack Obama is very well on his way to becoming the Democratic Nominee for president. I say this not due to polling, debates, his charisma, but it his willingness to stand up in a time where someone needs to stand up for change with no pretense, just as Dr. King did.

View Senator Obama’s speech at Ebenezer Baptist Church yesterday in Atlanta.

I am celebrating the dream. Now the next step is finding my place in the contribution to the changes that are beginning to mobilize.

Its 2008 and Legal!

Well its 2008 and 18 days old. I have not been blogging due to various reasons, but I have done my technology upgrades and I am now ready to begin my writing all over again.

Obama is #1 with 25 delegates going into the Nevada Caucuses. I am staunchly against Hillarious and her entire candidacy because it does not represent the real America that wants new, fresh change. Experience is nothing especially when the past 16 years have gone from one experience to the next.

my rant is over, Obama 4 Prez!

I did not make any new years resolutions, I think things from 2007 are resolving themselves. I am learning so much more about myself and my life.

So expect 2008 to be more of my life and its wonky wonders.

Peace!
